It was always my dream to bring something different to the renovation industry. Over 22 years I have been in more home owners houses than I can remember, and I still remember the first day when I deconstructed someone’s bathroom.
I was nervous, the customer was nervous but over a couple of weeks the feeling transformed into happiness and joy.

It was from that point on I knew I have found my passion.

Fast forward a few years, and I had my own team of people working with me and I was overseeing the work done and I was fortunate enough to grab some amazing memories from some crazy and interesting projects.

However, it wasn’t all easy, during my time whilst wanting to hire professionals I experienced a fair amount of poor workmanship, overpriced work and some builders that honestly just did not care about the homeowner.

I am certainly not the only one, up and down the Country at home and across the world people suffer from bad experiences with cowboy builders, work having to be repeated, and even high dangerous installations.

So I decided to create the podcast as I thought I could offer the chance for homeowners to hear from the real people, to professionals, the highly skilled passionate tradesman, other homeowners and their experiences, and obviously myself every now and again.

Since June 2017 we have been rapidly growing, reaching 17 countries, achieving thousands of downloads and subscribers.

Here you will learn and our tuition is for free…..

Taking on a property renovation is simply stressful. With over a decade of building and renovation experience as a Chicago-based architect, I know first hand that even the smallest of projects will contain multiple details, questions, decisions and challenges. It is what consumes the large majority of my daily thoughts.*

I am privileged to spend every day working on some truly amazing projects. From historic renovations to multi million residential and commercial new builds, I love the process of working with clients to bring their dreams to reality. That’s why I am so excited to be a part of this podcast.

I believe everyone should be able to access the knowledge and resources needed to build and design a beautiful, functional space. I want listeners to feel confident when choosing a contractor, know where to prioritize funds, and how to incorporate design principles with function. I want to take some of that renovation stress off our listeners’ shoulders and empower them to make good decisions.

I want to share more than just my own architectural expertise and philosophy. Here we get to chat with some of the industry’s great architects, builders, designers, engineers and tradespersons, and bring their unique renovation expertise strait to our podcast listeners.

It is my hope that this podcast will be as rewarding to listeners and guests as it is for me.
